  • Aska Concept's hybrid flying car takes off and lands like a Helicopter

The guys from the American-Israeli startup NFT created a prototype machine that can take off like a helicopter. According to the developers, the novelty will also receive an autopilot, which will control the vehicle both on the ground and in the air.

Flying cars are not something new in the modern automotive industry - the very first developments belong to the first decades of the last century, and even the legendary person — Ford founder Henry Ford — participated in a similar project in the mid-1920s. Recently, companies such as AeroMobil and Terrafugia have made significant progress in developing such transport. But most, if not all, previous projects required an airstrike / runway.

Get to know Aska, the flying car developed by the American-Israeli startup NFT (short for Next Future Transportation). In fact, the car is classified as an eVTOL vehicle, which means it is electric and has the possibility of a vertical take-off / landing.

In fact, it can be driven like a regular car with wings folded back or used as a small private plane with vertical takeoff and landing, like a helicopter. When the wings are opened, they open 10 channel fans, two more hide in the back of the car and two more are built into the wings.

The vehicle is powered by a large battery, as well as a gasoline engine, which together provides a flight range of approximately 563 km. The cabin can accommodate up to three passengers, and the original plan provides for the creation of an intelligent autonomous system for navigating and controlling the vehicle on the road and in the air. If and when Aska reaches mass production, it is expected that its initial price will be about $ 200,000 or 12,903,160 rubles, but the company behind it also works on a subscription service with monthly payments ranging from $ 200 to $ 300 or 12 903 and 19 354 rubles, respectively.

Aston Martin talked about when the DBX crossover will show

According to official data, the first crossover in the history of the British premium company will be shown at the end of 2019. On the date of commencement of sales and prices for a novelty so far nothing has been reported.

You can make the assumption that the British automaker Aston Martin, as they say, "guesses" with its DBX crossover - it will become very popular. At least that was the case with the Italian brand Lamborghini, which introduced the Urus crossover. I must say that the British Aston Martin DBX is a very important model, not only because it represents the first crossover model, but also the first car to be built at the new plant in St. Athan, in Wales.

The plant in St. Athens, Wales will be the only production site for DBX, as soon as its full production begins in the first half of 2020.

Meanwhile, Aston Martin is pleased to announce that along with the crossover, the plant will assemble future models of the brand, including the electric Rapid E. The luxurious all-electric model from Lagonda, which is owned by Aston Martin, will also be assembled in Wales. So far, 200 jobs have been created at the new plant in Saint-Atan, but up to 550 additional jobs are expected at the plant, plus 3,000 jobs in the supply chain and local enterprises.

Aston Martin promises to present a DBX crossover by the end of the year. This probably means that we will not see it at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, so we hope that it will be shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show in the second half of November. There is also a possibility that the company will want to present a novelty at a special event.
